Introduction
Newborough and Moe east (Merton ward) need a councillor who can protect the great
things we have. We live in an exciting location with great
potential for new business and employment opportunities.
I have worked in management for the last 15 years and ran my
own business for five years. I am a Justice of the Peace
for Victoria and am currently the President of
Lowanna College
Council.
I believe providing opportunities to develop our children is
essential to a successful future for our region.
I will support decisions that promote a safe and prosperous
environment for our residents, good schools, accessible
public transport and economic growth and development.
Our community services need to be within reach of low income
earners and pensioners. I know our town, our needs and
what we deserve. Let me be the one who takes your ideas and your
views to
Latrobe City Council.
I’m a good listener - and I will listen to you.
Key Issues
- True representation of the views and desires of the
people of Newborough and Moe not just a case of the
squeaky door getting the oil
- An independent voice not bogged down by the weight of
any political party
- Less talk and more action when it comes to the
redevelopment of Moe CBD - See
Moe Activity Centre Plan 2007 Report and
Moe Activity Centre Project
- Fare distribution of spending when it comes to Moe and
Newborough
- An emphasis on ensuring our city is a safe place to live
- Assist in the lobbying of State and Federal governments
in the interests of Latrobe City residents
- Strong consideration to the needs of the ageing
population - their access to community services and public
transport
- Continued development of tourism in the area
- The development of skills and pathways that will enable
young people to stay in the area and assist in the growth of
our City
- Make both Moe and Newborough as "the place to live"
in the Valley
Residents Survey
Moe is about to embark on a very exciting time as we look at
ways to improve services and the general 'liveability' of our
area. Please complete the survey by following the
